Call of Expression of Interest: A Consultancy Study for UCLG Africa

United Cities and Local Governments of Africa is launching a call of expression of interest to provide consultancy service to existing national local government associations (LGAs) in Africa. The project aims at strengthening the capacities of these associations to allow them to fulfil their mandates pertaining to the institutional and technical support to their members. 


Bangangté Municipality labeled ISO 26000 by AFNOR

The municipality of Bangangté, managed by mayor Mrs. Célestine Ketcha Courtès, obtained its label ISO 26000 delivered by AFNOR, the French Association of Normalization on June 10th, 2016 in Paris.


Good practice: Construction of Public Buildings and Schools with Straw: Greener and Much Cheaper than Concrete

Opting for straw instead of concrete; this is the challenge that has made the community of “communes du pays de Saint Meen Le Grand”, in France. This community, which grouped 9 municipalities has made this choice in order to have a green building. Marcel Minier, Mayor of the city of Muel returns to the concretization of this bright idea in an article on Basta website devoted to the construction of public buildings with straw in France.
